So, just once more, I’ll say…

I won’t be posting here anymore, I’ve changed the name of my main blog, and that’s where I’ll be posting everything from politics to the things I find interesting:

libertyandbondage.tumblr.com

libertyandbondage.tumblr.com

libertyandbondage.tumblr.com

And it’s done

I’ve renamed my main blog to libertyandbondage.tumblr.com, and that is where I’ll be.

This blog will be mostly abandoned, so follow me there if you want to hear from me at all… or just because, that’s okay too

libertyandbondage.tumblr.com

libertyandbondage.tumblr.com

libertyandbondage.tumblr.com

So, I’m thinking I’ll collapse my two blogs into one soon…

and any [scant few] followers who are on both blogs will have seen that statement twice now.

Anyway, yeah, once I actually feel like working out a new name, I’ll be re-branding my main account, and probably abandoning this one entirely…

so if anyone wants to continue following my mostly unoriginal stream of reblogs, with the occasional commentary, you might as well go over to conman841.tumblr.com now and follow there, the name will likely change soon, but that’s where I plan on posting everything from the politics from here, to any randomness of my choosing…

Too funny, couldn’t not reblog once I saw it

More great news, the orphaned baby deer I raised has been spotted by my old neighbors!! When I found him, his mother had been hit by a car and he laid next to her in the middle of the road, refusing to move. He was bound to be hit himself, so I decided to bottle raise him as naturally as possible. My german shepherd Bella became his new mom. He would follow her and they would run around the farm together. After I released him back into the wild, Bella would track him down if you asked her where’s charlie?! He’ll be two years old this March..I’m so grateful my work paid off and he had a second chance at life. It drove me to pursue ecology and wildlife conservation; it was honestly one of the most life changing experiences in my life.

okay, this is beautiful

Also, since you spent so much time with a deer, I’m curious about their intelligence. Many people will say how stupid deer are, but… I’ve never been close enough to one to know, and I have no real personal opinion (since it wouldn’t change my life if they were stupid or smart).

Why do we continue this self-destructive behavior when burning fossil fuels increases climate change, which the CIA and the Pentagon recently listed as a threat to national security? Why do we fight wars, sending our young men and women to die for oil?

STUPID STUPID STUPID, LEARN FROM HISTORY!!

The problem is finding a fuel that is energy-dense enough to practically provide the energy we now get from fossil fuels. I personally am not as concerned about the global warming aspect, as I think it’s mostly hype, but peak oil is a definite problem in the future, so it’s necessary to find new energy sources. It is also important, however, to be careful, since the government has been reckless in advocating new energy sources before, and received several unintended outcomes: By subsidizing the production of corn ethanol, they created a false market for corn-ethanol, whereby farmers began converting huge amounts of corn that would be used in the food supply into fuel, which raises the price of corn (not to mention shortages of a crop that is normally relatively easy to acquire). Then, despite the fact that ethanol was meant to pollute less than traditional fuels, it has been found to pollute more.

The trader and the warrior have been fundamental antagonists throughout history. Trade does not flourish on battlefields, factories do not produce under bombardments, profits do not grow on rubble. Capitalism is a society of traders—for which it has been denounced by every would-be gunman who regards trade as ‘selfish’ and conquest as ‘noble.’
